Local Manufacturer Roylco Transitions to Making Parts for Face Shields During Covid-19

Roylco is a diverse and innovative company. Roylco’s Education division develops and manufactures unique early learning products for the classroom and home that are marketed and sold throughout the world. Its Industrial division is a custom manufacturer that primarily converts materials as a die cutter with a niche in the automotive industry.

As the COVID-19 pandemic surfaced in the United States, Roylco knew that closing schools and automotive shutdowns would result in increased capacity for their manufacturing facility. At the same time, frontline medical workers experienced a skyrocketing critical need for protective equipment. Roylco quickly transitioned their manufacturing capabilities to offer solutions to those in need.

Roylco is currently producing the shields that protect the faces of our healthcare workers as well as the foam pieces that allow a measure of comfort to those that must wear the face shields to safely do their jobs. Partnering with Upstate healthcare entities as well as national corporations, Roylco is supporting the needs of healthcare workers throughout the United States while saving jobs right here in Anderson, South Carolina.
